White Wine Cake from Kathy (my hairdresser)

 

 

Cake:

Pam Cooking Spray

1 Box of Butter Cake Mix

1 Box of Vanilla Pudding Mix (instant)

4 Eggs

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup wine (suggestion:  Sutter House White Zinfandel)

1/2 cup oil

1 1/2 cup chopped pecans

 

Spray pan with Pam, and then spread crushed pecans on the bottom of the pan. 

Pour batter over pecans.

Bake at 350º for 50 - 60 minutes.

Test the center with toothpicks.

 

Sauce:

1 stick of butter

1 cup of sugar

1/4 cup of wine

 

Cook in pot and bring to boil.

Pour over hot cake.

Lift up edges to get sauce around the bottom.

Let the cake set for 3 - 5 minutes.

Turn cake over on a plate and serve.
